DOOM!!
What do you get when you add the Rock, BFG's, Scientists gone bad, and Rosamund Pike? Doom-The movie, based on the insanely popular First Person Action game. The movie itself isn't so great, but after watching it once you absolutely want to watch it again just so you can get to the last 20 minutes with a 5 minute FPS sequence stuck in. I makes it all worth while. The rest of the film is completely unrealistic. Sewers in Mars? A 20 something kid on a Rapid Response Military Team? And The Rock? Well, he's no Lawrence Olivier. Overall, it's worth seeing, especially if you're a fan of the game. But I wouldn't suggest you shell out $25.95 for a DVD. I paid $7.50 for mine at my local video store:•)

Midnight Meat Train.
Even if you're not a huge fan of Clive Barker or Ryuhei Kitamura, you should still start getting excited about the upcoming horror film The Midnight Meat Train, based on Barker's short story by the same name. It is a mystery, sort of, of mysterious killings happening on the New York subway system, and a man who's trying to figure out what's going on. At least that's what the story is about.
The Poster has been available for a while now, http://www.clivebarker.info/mmtteaser1.jpg and the first still was recently released: http://www.clivebarker.info/mmtjones.jpg
To see a picture of Clive and Ryuhei on set go here: http://www.fangoria.com/news_article.php?id=4036

Check it out. It should come out in the beginning of 2008!
Yay!!

If you are a Clive Barker fan, then you'll be happy to know that his new novel, Mr. B Gone comes out this fall:)

Bye for now!!

Based on a true story
After watching the Blair Witch Project (and being scared out of my wits because I actually did think it was true) I decided to look into all the horror movies I'd seen thatwere supposedly based on a true story.
I came up Very dissapointed. I did know that the stories would be Hollywood-ed a bit, but not to the extent that they were.
For Example:
The Texas Chain-Saw Massacre? The true story is some crazy guy who, once his mother died, was so crazy, and wanted to be around a woman that he cut of and saved her skin so that he could put it on occasionally. He then kille another older woman and did the same thing. He was sent to a mental institution where he died... Dissapointing when the movie says he chased random people with a chainsaw.
Another Example?
Death Tunnel. The true story is that there was a hospital that was set up to help tuberculosis patients in the 1850's. Not some demonic mental institution where people got trapped and died.
One more? The amityville horror. The true story is some deranged 13 year old kid set his house  up to look as if there was a poltergeist living in it so that he could get attention. No one died...

There are so many more, and all the true stories are dissapointing. I promise you all, when I make a horror movie, I will NOT base it on a totally lame true story and hype it up.

Have a fun night:)

PS- If you don't mind watching a movie with a LOT of crude jokes and sexual humor, go out and rent The Farce of the Penguins NOW!! LMAO

Bye.

Well...
I've seen a lot of movies in the l ast little while...At Worlds End, The Queen, For Your Consideration, Hollywoodland... My favorite was probably Hollywoodland, although none of them were exceptional. POTC3 was better than #2, but still not as good as the 1st, but I don't think I was expecting it to be. The Queen was very good, but a bit too slow. I remember when Diana died, I was about 7, and even then I didn't like her. I don't understand why people were so in love with her. They didn't even know her!! I don't mean to offend you if you liked her, but it's just too much.
I've been wanting to see For Your Consideration for about 3 years, and it was good, but it was a little slow as well. It painted a very *interesting* view of Hollywwod.
I wouldn't mind seeing any of these again, ut I wouldn't mind not seeing them again either...

Next Weekend I'm having some friends over to watch some horror movies, so if you have any suggestion, I'm happy to hear them...
We've finishe the Freddy Krueger's, we're not interested in Jaso, or Chucky, or Michael Myers, and We watched Blair Witch last time.
Other than that, fire away:)
That's all,
Over and out!
