I also saw Transformers, FINALLY!!
The acting sucked, and the story was pretty lame, although not unlike the original Transformer movies, TV shows and comics, so I'm not faulting them there.
Overall I really liked it. It is the kind of mindless (in a good way) action packed movie that has been missing from the film industry for a while. It was an extremely good way to spend my evening. I will also be rooting for it to win best special FX at the Academy Awards nex year, because they were quite wonderful!!

Well.....

Its been a long time. I went to Quebec for a french thing for 5 weeks. It sucked. I hate Quebec because of it.
I didn't get to watch many movies during this time and that sucked.
Overall, my summer has been pretty crappy so far.
I did however, by the complete set of the Quebecois television series Dans Une Galaxie Pres De Chez Vous, which is better than the movie, by far, even though the movie is one of my all time favorites. It's extremely funny and I encourage all of yo to find it and watch it if you speak french.
Over the last couple of days I've also watched Blood Diamond, which although could have used a better editor, was terrific, and Fur: An Imaginary Portrait Of Diane Arbus, which was, sorry to say, awful. No story, too slow, the only part I liked was RDJ, and thats not because he acted great, it's just because I like him, and think he's hot.

More news on The Midnight Meat Train, for anyone who cares, Clive Barker recently talked at the Comic Convention about the film. He says that it is looking great, and that its the best adaptation of one of his works to date, including his own.
Should be good then:)
