| After watching the Blair Witch Project (and being scared out of my wits because I actually did think it was true) I decided to look into all the horror movies I'd seen thatwere supposedly based on a true story. I came up Very dissapointed. I did know that the stories would be Hollywood-ed a bit, but not to the extent that they were. For Example: The Texas Chain-Saw Massacre? The true story is some crazy guy who, once his mother died,was so crazy, and wanted to be around a woman that he cut of and saved her skin so that he could put it on occasionally. He then kille another older woman and did the same thing. He was sent to a mental institution where he died... Dissapointing when the movie says he chased random people with a chainsaw. Another Example? Death Tunnel. The true story is that there was a hospital that was set up to help tuberculosis patients in the 1850's. Not some demonic mental institution where people got trapped and died. One more? The amityville horror. The true story is some deranged 13 year old kid set his house up to look as if there was a poltergeist living in it so that he could get attention. No one died...
There are so many more, and all the true stories are dissapointing. I promise you all, when I make a horror movie, I will NOT base it on a totally lame true story and hype it up.
