| Horton Hears A Who |
| 2008-03-15 |
Som as I promised, here is the movie I most recently saw. About 3 hours ago to be a bit more precise. I generally like cartoons, but find that as with most movies now a days they are getting a bit too juvenile. They probably were when I was younger too, but I don't remember them being quite so full of "poo-poo" jokes and inuendo. The movie was cute, and a lot of the dialogue was funny, but every once in a while there was a joke that was a bit not to my liking. Granted, there always are because there needs to be something for everyone, I am giving you my opinion so here we go. I liked this movie to an extent. I think it could have been a bit shorter and tighter, but that's 0k. The movie was funny, and cute, wonderfully animated, and very "Seuss-y" I give the movie 7 out of 10 stars. Not completely to my liking but I am glad I saw it. And there is NO doubt that children like it, and as far as seeing a movie with your kids, you could do worse then Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who. |

Yes I have been. I'm sorry. I know that I'm actually apologizing to myself more than anything but still...*sigh* So how have you been? Me, just fine. Surviving as I like to say. Seen A LOT of movies, but not going to tell you about them all, because well, you know how it is. I promise however, that the next movie I see, I'll do a review for you all. For now all I can say is, please for the love of good movies, scripts, plots, and the betterment of Mankind, do NOT see 10000 BC. Just don't. I mean come on!!!! That's it I'm out for now TTYL |

| Not Enchanted by Enchanted |
| 2007-11-27 |
The big news in the movie industry of late, other than the WGA strike, is that Disney is back. People everywhere are loving the new Disney movie Enchanted, about a fairytale princess who gets sent to our world and falls in love with Patrick Dempsey, which I must admit, can't be too hard. The movie made 90 million last weekend, and everyone loves it. I didn't. I'm not saying that it was a horrible movie, it wasn't! It was entertaining enough, and had some somewhat funny bits, but overall, I was bored. It was a cute Disney movie, with a lot of the old Disney charms and I'm sure that if you are under ten years old and female, it will be your favorite movie ever. Unfortunately, while I may be female, I am not eight years old, so I wasn't enthralled. See it on video, that's my advice. |

I'm sorry I haven't been updating... No excuse. I've seen many many movies since Elizabeth: The Golden Age, but it would take way too long tell you about all of them, so I will review the most recent of those movies, Beowulf, which I saw last night. If you haven't read the story, that's okay. You don't need it, but it does add a little bit of knowledge. I read the story literally 12 hours before seeing the movie, and after I'd read it, I wasn't overly thrilled. It was just some viking killing people and then NOT taking rewards! How lame! Then I saw the movie. I did enjoy the movie. I give it 4 out of 5 stars. But in the movie, get this, Beowulf is flawed! In the story he's perfectly noble and heroic, and cannot do anything wrong. However, in the movie, he is arrogant and apparently, overly lustful. I was dissapointed leaving the theatre because I felt that Beowulf wouldn't protect me in my sleep. He'd just brag about how he'd killed 50 monsters from the deep. So, although the poem is somewhat lame and boring, I do prefer it to what the final project turned out to be like. The movie was good! It really was! I just would prefer to see some REAL heroes than these flawed wannabes that we seem to be getting so much of these days... PS- GO HERE! http://reelintelligence.blogspot.com/ |

| Elizabeth: The Golden Age |
| 2007-10-16 |
I went and saw Elizebeth: The Golden Age last night. Awesome movie. A little bit too much in a few bits, but overall the acting was strong, the cinematography was wonderful, the costumes were *sigh* Oh Sooo Pretty, and the casting was great. The historical 'facts' weren't all correct, but they are popular beliefs, so I don't fault the filmmakers there. The movie is about Elizabeth the 1st of England, and the threat of the Spanish Inquisition ("Our weapons are surprise..."). Well done. They had everything; Mary Queen of Scots, The Spanish Armada, John Dee, and lot's of other things that made it seem quite researched. Of course, having some of the facts worng made it a little hard to believe, but it was still great. I recommend this flm to everyone. 4.5/5 stars. |

| two more |
| 2007-10-02 |
I've seen two more movies since the last time we spoke; The Lives of Others, and The Departed. The Lives of Others (starring Ulrich Mühe who unfortunately died this past June) was somewhat slow, yet had some very redeeming qualities which in the end made me not so upset that it won best foreign film at the 2007 oscars over Pan's Labyrinth. The story follows playwrite Georg Dreyman and his girlfriend Christa Maria Sieland (an actress) who focus mainly on performing and writing socialist plays. The Stasi becomes suspicious of Georg's intentions and ideas, and so have him observed and listened to. SS agent Wiesler is instructed to survey them, but becones fascinated by their stories. Although I would rather buy Pan's Labyrinth than this film, The Lives of Others is definitely oone worth seeing. The Departed (starring Matt Damon and Leonardo Dicaprio with Martin Sheen, Mark Wahlberg and Jack Nicholson) was good. Not great, but good. i'm glad Scorsese won the Academy Award, because he deserved it for all he had done in his career, but he did not deserve it for this film. The film follows two cops, one posing as a gang member in order to help the cops, and the other posing as a cop in order to help the Mafia. It is an extremely violent and somewhat upsetting film (and I must say confusing) but well worth seeing.... **BEWARE--HERE ARE SPOILERS** I was VERY upset when Martin Sheen's character was killed. Aww. Poor Martin. Also, here is a bit of fun trivia- the final body count for the film was 22. It seemed like more while watching, but in the end, I guess it wasn't.
That's all. I'll update when I have more. Bye |

| Cough. |
| 2007-09-24 |
| It's wet here. Really wet. Rain, rain rain. It's all that seems to happen After moving 3 weeks ago, we finally got our TV set up yesterday, so I was able to watch a few movies. They both sucked however. The Break-up, with Vince and Jennifer (yes it did take me forever)was so bad I couldn't even finish it. It wasn't funny, well acted, written well, or anything. I was hoping that it would be somewhat interesting, seeing as it was Peyton Reed who directed it, and he is one of my fave directors, but instead it was Blah. I was dissapointed, and if you haven't already seen it don't. The other movie I saw was Big Nothing with Simon Pegg and David Schwimmer. I like Simon Pegg, so I though it would be interesting and funny. Well it was sort of funny a couple of times, but it wasn't very interesting. I was disappointed again. BAD BAD SIMON PEGG!!! Run, Fatboy, Run looks good though. I'll definately go see it:D
Movie of the day is Johnny Dangerously. Funny, Funny movie staring Michael Keaton, Peter Boyle, and Joe Piscopo. If you haven't seen it, it's must!! I love it and laugh every time. If you have seen this movie, which interestingly enough was one of the first PG 13 movies, then you'll appreciate this quote: Vermin: This goes through armor. And through the victim, through the wall, through a tree outside.. Haha, I love it. Well that's pretty much all. If you go on Break.com soon, go here: http://my.break.com/media/view.aspx?ContentID=365909 and here :http://www.break.com/index/brand_new_saw_4_trailer.html I know that the real Saw 4 trailer is out now, but this is still funny as Hell!!
Have a good day everyone!! |

| Finally!! |
| 2007-09-06 |
Well, I've finally moved in, although I say that loosely. I do have a house to live in, although most of my stuff is still in boxes, and I can't find any of my computer cables, so I'm relying on public computers for all my posting and managing, so please excuse me for not posting regularly yet. I have seen some good movies. Balls of Fury, which was really good. Over the top slapstick humour. but they did it in a way that worker. Christopher Walken was WONDERFUL!! I couldn't imagine anyone else playing his role. "Less Talky-talky! More Ping-Pong!!" Brilliant I also recently got the entire Nightmare on Elm Street Collection, which is wonderful, seeing as I love the films. The set is worth buying if you like the movies, because you get an extra DVD of bonus features which are really good. Interviews from all the film makers on all of the films, a few documentaries, pictures, games, and my personal favourite, interviews with Clive Barker!! I don't really know why they picked him, I'm assuming because of the Hellraisers, but whatever the reason, it made the 60$ worth it without even watching the movies:) Other films I've seen are Dead Silence, The Number 23, and you know I can't even think of any others that I've seen. Dead Silence was great. Scary as hell, I thought (but I'm scared easily). The story was interesting enough, and although I wouldn't recommend buying the DVD, I would suggest that if you like horror movies, this is a must see!! The Number 23 was good, but I found that it was a bit over the top. Jim Carrey's Character found the number 23 in everything, which I found out, is possible if you add subtract, multiply or divede the original numer by the right stuff. It was worth seeing, but please, don't go killing anyone after you've seen it, just because they aren't as obcessed about the number as you may be:) I think that's all now! Thanks for reading!! |

| I also saw Transformers, FINALLY!! The acting sucked, and the story was pretty lame, although not unlike the original Transformer movies, TV shows and comics, so I'm not faulting them there. Overall I really liked it. It is the kind of mindless (in a good way) action packed movie that has been missing from the film industry for a while. It was an extremely good way to spend my evening. I will also be rooting for it to win best special FX at the Academy Awards nex year, because they were quite wonderful!!
Sleep well everyone:)

| 2007-08-10 |
Its been a long time. I went to Quebec for a french thing for 5 weeks. It sucked. I hate Quebec because of it.
I didn't get to watch many movies during this time and that sucked.
Overall, my summer has been pretty crappy so far.
I did however, by the complete set of the Quebecois television series Dans Une Galaxie Pres De Chez Vous, which is better than the movie, by far, even though the movie is one of my all time favorites. It's extremely funny and I encourage all of yo to find it and watch it if you speak french.
Over the last couple of days I've also watched Blood Diamond, which although could have used a better editor, was terrific, and Fur: An Imaginary Portrait Of Diane Arbus, which was, sorry to say, awful. No story, too slow, the only part I liked was RDJ, and thats not because he acted great, it's just because I like him, and think he's hot.
More news on The Midnight Meat Train, for anyone who cares, Clive Barker recently talked at the Comic Convention about the film. He says that it is looking great, and that its the best adaptation of one of his works to date, including his own.
Should be good then:)
Not much else.
I'm moving in a couple of weeks so I probably wpn't be posting much.
Have a good rest-of-your-summer-if-you-have-one-left.

| DOOM!! |
| 2007-06-25 |
| What do you get when you add the Rock, BFG's, Scientists gone bad, and Rosamund Pike? Doom-The movie, based on the insanely popular First Person Action game. The movie itself isn't so great, but after watching it once you absolutely want to watch it again just so you can get to the last 20 minutes with a 5 minute FPS sequence stuck in. I makes it all worth while. The rest of the film is completely unrealistic. Sewers in Mars? A 20 something kid on a Rapid Response Military Team? And The Rock? Well, he's no Lawrence Olivier. Overall, it's worth seeing, especially if you're a fan of the game. But I wouldn't suggest you shell out $25.95 for a DVD. I paid $7.50 for mine at my local video store:•) |

| Midnight Meat Train. |
| 2007-06-16 |
Even if you're not a huge fan of Clive Barker or Ryuhei Kitamura, you should still start getting excited about the upcoming horror film The Midnight Meat Train, based on Barker's short story by the same name. It is a mystery, sort of, of mysterious killings happening on the New York subway system, and a man who's trying to figure out what's going on. At least that's what the story is about.
The Poster has been available for a while now, http://www.clivebarker.info/mmtteaser1.jpg and the first still was recently released: http://www.clivebarker.info/mmtjones.jpg
To see a picture of Clive and Ryuhei on set go here: http://www.fangoria.com/news_article.php?id=4036
Check it out. It should come out in the beginning of 2008!
Yay!!
If you are a Clive Barker fan, then you'll be happy to know that his new novel, Mr. B Gone comes out this fall:)
Bye for now!!

| Based on a true story |
| 2007-06-11 |
| After watching the Blair Witch Project (and being scared out of my wits because I actually did think it was true) I decided to look into all the horror movies I'd seen thatwere supposedly based on a true story. I came up Very dissapointed. I did know that the stories would be Hollywood-ed a bit, but not to the extent that they were. For Example: The Texas Chain-Saw Massacre? The true story is some crazy guy who, once his mother died, was so crazy, and wanted to be around a woman that he cut of and saved her skin so that he could put it on occasionally. He then kille another older woman and did the same thing. He was sent to a mental institution where he died... Dissapointing when the movie says he chased random people with a chainsaw. Another Example? Death Tunnel. The true story is that there was a hospital that was set up to help tuberculosis patients in the 1850's. Not some demonic mental institution where people got trapped and died. One more? The amityville horror. The true story is some deranged 13 year old kid set his house up to look as if there was a poltergeist living in it so that he could get attention. No one died...
There are so many more, and all the true stories are dissapointing. I promise you all, when I make a horror movie, I will NOT base it on a totally lame true story and hype it up.
Have a fun night:)
PS- If you don't mind watching a movie with a LOT of crude jokes and sexual humor, go out and rent The Farce of the Penguins NOW!! LMAO
Bye. |

| Well... |
| 2007-06-02 |
| I've seen a lot of movies in the l ast little while...At Worlds End, The Queen, For Your Consideration, Hollywoodland... My favorite was probably Hollywoodland, although none of them were exceptional. POTC3 was better than #2, but still not as good as the 1st, but I don't think I was expecting it to be. The Queen was very good, but a bit too slow. I remember when Diana died, I was about 7, and even then I didn't like her. I don't understand why people were so in love with her. They didn't even know her!! I don't mean to offend you if you liked her, but it's just too much. I've been wanting to see For Your Consideration for about 3 years, and it was good, but it was a little slow as well. It painted a very *interesting* view of Hollywwod. I wouldn't mind seeing any of these again, ut I wouldn't mind not seeing them again either...
Next Weekend I'm having some friends over to watch some horror movies, so if you have any suggestion, I'm happy to hear them... We've finishe the Freddy Krueger's, we're not interested in Jaso, or Chucky, or Michael Myers, and We watched Blair Witch last time. Other than that, fire away:) That's all, Over and out!

| 2007-05-27 |
| I saw Shrek 3... wasn't too good, but it certainly wasn't too bad. I'm only hoping that the next Python they bring in is Michael Palin, seeing as he is my favorite. I also just got tickets (row 5!!) to see the broadway accross America showing of the Musical version of Young Frankenstein!!! SOOOOO excited:)
It's been a while since I posted, but not that much has happened:( I watched the fountain and was VERY disappointed. Nowhere near as good as I had hoped... I bought Cars (heehee) and Pan's Labyrinth, and they are both still as good as ever. I'm not looking forward to POTC 3, but will probably see it anyways... Nothing else. Have fun ya'll |

| Zodiac |
| 2007-05-18 |
After being out for 2 months, my regional theatre finally got the movie Zodiac, starring Jake Gyllenhall(Sp?), Mark Ruffalo, and of course, Robert Downey Junior. It is about one of the reporters who reported on the Zodiac killings in California in the lake 60's and early 70's. It was pretty intense in some parts, because they did some reenactments of the actual killings, but for the most part it was REALLY REALLY good! David Fincher directed, which is one of the main reasons I went to see it, because Alien 3 was my favorite of all the Alien movies.
Speaking of Aliens, I want to tell you all about the movie DOOM. It is based on the early 90's computer game (and although a fairly poorly done movie) is well worth seeing, especially if you're a fan of Doug Jones (Pan's labyrinth) because he plays all of the mutants.
I'm hoping to see Shreck 3 this weekend (as I'm sure are you), so I'll post back later, after I've seen it.
Oh, by the way, Spiderman 3 was the worst piece of political Bullshit I've ever seen.
Have a good day ya'll!!

| Hot Fuzz |
| 2007-05-13 |
| I went to see Hot Fuzz yesterday, the newest movie from writers Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright. It wasn't as good as Shaun of the Dead, but it was still absolutely fantastic! I laughed continuously. I won't tell you what it's about, but I will say that you should go see it!! Other: The movie magasine I subscribe to, Premiere, recently told me that they shut down and now they are giving me Us Weekly for the rest of my subscription. I was so mad when I found out. I mean, I don't care why Katie won't leave Tom, or whether or not Jen is sleeping with Vince. On the bright side. it now means I can subscribe to Script magasine, which is almost as good. I'm going to go, as I am rather upset again. Have a great day!

| Make your own snow! |
| 2007-04-29 |
| I don't know how, but I somehow stumbled upon a very weird site that teaches you how to make your own snow crystals! I have yet to try it, but it seems like fun so I thought I'd share it all with you. Here is the recipe... The parts list for this experiment is as follows: >One used 20-oz plastic Coke bottle >Three large-diameter styrofoam cups (or something similar; see below) >A small kitchen sponge (1/2 inch thick) >A short length of nylon fishing line (thinner is better; 1-pound test is good) >A strong sewing needle >Four straight pins >One paper clip >Some paper towels Step 1. After rinsing out the Coke bottle, use a sharp knife to cut the bottle in two, about 1/2 inch above the bottom, as shown in the figure. Poke a hole in the center of the bottle bottom using the sewing needle, and also poke four holes in the side of the bottle bottom. Make a small round sponge to fit inside the bottle bottom, and hold the sponge in place by putting the four straight pins into the side holes you made (see figure). Step 2. Thread the fishing line into the sewing needle, and push the needle through the hole in the bottle bottom, and through the sponge. Attach the fishing line to the bottle bottom with a piece of tape, and tie a knot in the other end to hold the paper clip. When the Coke bottle is inverted and reassembled, the string should swing freely inside the bottle, as shown in the figure. Step 3. Place the inverted Coke bottle inside the three styrofoam cups, as shown, so that the bottom of the Coke label is at the same height as the top of the cups (see figure). There should be about one inch of clear space between the sides of the Coke bottle and the top edge of the styrofoam cups. You are now ready to make your own snow!

| Bobby |
| 2007-04-29 |
| First off, I am going to say that I am Canadian, and was not alive when Bobby Kennedy was shot. All that aside, I am now going to tell you all my thoughts on the new Emilio Estevez film, Bobby, about the lives of the people in the hotel the night Mr. Kennedy was shot. I loved it. It made me laugh, cry and was extremely well acted and directed. It was a little slow moving, yet I din't get bored. The movie covered almost every main theme of the late 1960's; racism, poverety, drugs, Peace and war, and many other themes still relevant today (not that the others aren't). I thoroughly recommend this film to EVERYONE, even if you didn't support Boby Kennedy, although I think you would enjoy it more if you agreed with his beliefs. Other than that, I recently watched the film Volver, starring Penelope Cruz and directed by Pedro Almodóvar. It was an interesting film but I don't think I ever want to see it again. I do reccommend you see it, but it isn't one I would have paid to see on the big screen. It is, however, well directed. One more thing before I go, If anyone knows where I can buy a belgian keyboard, could you please send me a message, as I can't find them ANYWHERE! Thanks That's all for me now! Bye |

| 2007-04-21 |
| I just signed up for a new fantasy moguls season, so join me, at www.fantasymoguls.com! The season starts on May 1st, so better hurry up! Before I go any further, I'd just like to say that Shoutpost didn't release to the shoutpost community, my last post, so if you want to see i t, you'll have to go to my actual blog:) I just finished watching Running With Scissors, and must say, that despite the crazy craziness, it was a terrific film, well worth watching! If you haven't already seen it, you should! Evan Rachel Wood is wonderful! For those of you who are Monty Python fans, I found a really great site that has the scripts to all the episodes in all the seasons: http://www.ibras.dk/montypython/justthewords.htm It really does have them all!! Also, the script to Brick (one of my alltime favorite movies) was recently released on the Internet Movie Script Database (imsdb.com), so check that out too. I'm trying to think of something else to say, but can't, so I'm gonna sign off! Have a great day everyone! |

| fantasy moguls |
| 2007-04-04 |
| In february, I stumbleed upon a site called "FantasyMoguls" in which people come and bet on the movie with the highest box office income. People join groups of 8 people, and the group and the individual person who bid the best wins! There are no real prizes but it's lots of fun, and if you're interested in the industry, this is a fun way to start! The new season starts up really soon, so if you're interested, come to www.fantasymoguls.com In other news, Robert Downey Junior turned 42 today, so Happy Birthday Rob! I can't think of much else, except that if you are a fan of Clive Barker, he has a new interview up at the revelations website, so check it out. That's all for me now, Bye! |

| Nude Organists |
| 2007-04-02 |
I was reading through some posts on the Mont Python board at the IMDb, and I found one titled "naked piano man sketch". Now, for all of you fans of Monty Python's Flying Circus, you know that the naked man played an organ, not a piano, and I said this to the person on the board. And, they started to freak out. Now, could someone tell me if I was wrong? Should I have let this person carry out their life in denial? No, I don't think so!
Movie of the day; Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure! A most excellent movie starring Keanu Reeves (in his first role) and Alex Winter. It's about two high school kids who want to start a band, but who's grades don't allow for it! In order to get an A in history class, they have to travel through time and pick up famous historical figures on their way back! It is funny and cute, and you HAVE to see it! The sequel is Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey, if any of you get super interested in the series
Well, I can't think of anything else to say, so bye! Have a good day!! |

Hi all! Just getting ready to do a movie marathon, so I thought I'd better do this before I forget! Today's movie is Hard Candy about a pedophile who hooks up with a girl who stalks pedipholes! You can probably immagine what happens next! Although the film goes over the edge a few times, it is really powerful and VERY worthwhile! See it, it's good! Wow! I sure didn't write much, sorry! Anyway. that's all for now, I'm going to go get some movies now! Have a good day everyone! Bye |

| Just Got Back |
| 2007-03-22 |
| about 1 hour ago. I had LOTS of fun, and, for those of you wondering, I wound up doing Space Mountain First. I watched Happy Feet on the plane home, and after seeing it again, I'm very dissapointed that it won best animated feature at the academy awards. It's slow moving, somewhat inappropriate for kids, and doesn't really have much of a story. Cars was much better in my opinion. Movie of the day is The Messengers. I was half scared to death while watching it, but it was pretty good. It is pretty lame in some parts, and there are some definate plot holes, but Dylan McDermott hasn't lost his touch!
Worst movie of the week is (I hate to say this) Idiocracy. Although it had some very funny moments, and some cool ideas, it was too stupid for my liking. I do like Mike Judge's other movies, but I was disappointed by this film. I'm glad to be back, and it's nice to be talking to you all again! TTFN! |

| Gwen Stacy! |
| 2007-03-14 |
Good news to Spiderman fans! They are finally bringing Gwen Stacy into the show and she will be portrayed by Bryce Dallas Howard with blond hair (wow, that's a stretch!) The rest of the movie looks great too!!
My movie of the day is Aladdin, yes the Disney version. I'm sure you all know what it's about, and I had no real reason for choosing it, but it is my favorite Disney movie, so I just thought I'd mention. Fun trivia about the Disney movie Aladdin: There are 513 people listed in the credits, the fireworks seen at the end of the film are reused special effects from The Rescuers, and one more: During the course of recording the voices, Robin Williams improvised so much they had almost 16 hours of material!
I'm going away for a couple weeks, so I won't be posting so have a great couple weeks everyone, and I'll try and post if I have access to a computer.
TTFN!

| Favorite Series... |
| 2007-03-13 |
| I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been really sick:( Not fun. Anyway, while thinking about what sort of movie type thing to write about this time, I got to thinking about some of my favorite series. I really like the Lord Of The Rings trilogy, and I liked the first Pirates Of The Carribean (spelling?), but you know, m favorite series in the history of all movies I've seen, are the Nightmare On Elm Street series. Freddy Krueger is definately the best horror villain, the movies are put together in a way that although they do have scary moments, don't leave you too frightened in the end, because they are broken up with a LOT of humour! If you don't like horror movies I'm not telling you to watch these (although you probably would start to like them if you started with this series), but if you are a horror fan, and haven't seen these, you're missing out. And, just so you know, Freddy could kick Jason's butt! Other good horror movies; Psycho, Blair Witch Project, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Halloween, Scream(1,2&3), The Messengers, Hellraiser and Scary Movie (yes, I know it's not supposed to be scary, but I still screamed!) In other news, William H. Macy turned 57 today! Happy B-Day Bill! Can't think of anything else yet, so I'll sign off! Bye!!
(\___/)This is Bunny. Put him on your (='.'=)blog to help him gain world (")_(")domination! |

| Woohoo! |
| 2007-03-07 |
| I'm going to Disneyland in 8 days! Woohoo, I'm so excited! 4 whole days, by myself, in the Happiest Place on Earth! YAY! I don't know what to do first however. Last time I had it all planned out, but not this time. I guess it'll be more of a surprise. I saw Pan's Labyrinth last weekend, and I must say, The Lives Of Others must have been REALLY good to have beat it in the foreign film category at the Osacars, even though the Adademy Awards don't always represent the best. Anyway back to the movie: The cinematography, the acting, the direction, the makeup/special effects, the story, everything was absolutely terrific! I was really impressed. Guillermo Del Toro is now officially my favorite director, and this is definately his best film! In other movie news, Rachel Weisz turns 36 today, and I must say I'm upset at my local movie theatre for not yet bringing us The Fountain, as I am VERY eager to see it! I also found this really great site where you can buy cube figures (go there and you'll see what they are!) The site is www.cubefigres.com. I can't wait to start my office! Anyway, I think that's all for me! If you have any suggestions on what I should do firt in Disneyland, send me a message or comment on this post! TTFN!

| Defying Gravity |
| 2007-03-04 |
Something has changed within me
Something is not the same
I'm through with playing by
The rules of someone else's game
Too late for second-guessing
Too late to go back to sleep
It's time to trust my instincts
Close my eyes
And leap... It's time to try defying gravity
I think I'll try defying gravity And you can't pull me down GLINDA
Can't I make you understand
You're having delusions of grandeur? ELPHABA
I'm through accepting limits Cuz someone says they're so Some things I cannot change But till I try I'll never know Too long I've been afraid of Losing love I guess I've lost Well if that's love It comes at much too high a cost I'd sooner buy defying gravity
Kiss me goodbye, I'm defying gravity
And you can't pull me down! Glinda, come with me. Think of what we could do - together! Unlimited
Together we're unlimited
Together we'll be the greatest team
There's ever been - Glinda!
Dreams the way we planned 'em GLINDA
If we work in tandem GLINDA & ELPHABA
There's no fight we cannot win
Just you and I, defying gravity
With you and I defying gravity ELPHABA
They'll never bring us down! Well, are you coming? (GLINDA decides to stay behind.) GLINDA
I hope you're happy
I hope your happy now that your choosing this - ELPHABA
You too-- I hope it brings you bliss GLINDA & ELPHABA
I really hope you get it
And you don't live to regret it
I hope you're happy in the end
I hope you're happy my friend ELPHABA
So if you care to find me Look to the Western sky! As someone told me lately Everyone deserves the chance to fly And if I'm flying solo At least I'm flying free To those who ground me Take a message back from me! Tell them how I am defying gravity
I'm flying high, defying gravity
And soon I'll match them in renown
And nobody in all of Oz
No Wizard that there is or was
Is ever gonna bring me down!!
I lovev Wicked! Definately my favorite musical!!! It would make a fantastic movie, don't you think? |

| I hate being adjudicated... |
| 2007-03-02 |
I recently perfromed an amateur play for a regional festival, which is where people can watch your play and you get critiqued and praised by a supposedly professional actor/director. The play I was in was not a wonferfully well writen play (as the adjudicator made quite clear) but I thought it was pretty good.
However, after we performed, she talked to the audience a bit about the play and she had only one good thing to say, and that was that it was well cast. She said we needed to work on literally everything else, i.e. lights, blocking, talking, use of space, EVERYTHING, and worst of all, she wasn't even nice about it. She was unfortunately one of those people who didn't earn their place of power, yet still chose to use it to their full advantage. Oh well! What can you do? It just makes me a little sad...
On to brighter news...
Ummm, can't think of any :(
I'll talk to you all later!
Bye-Bye! |

| Untitled Project 1 |
| 2007-02-28 |
| 9ine 8ight 7even 6ix 5ive 4our 3hree 2wo 1ne, and CUT! Don't you hate it when someone just keeps talking and talking talking and talking talking andking talking and talking talking and talking talking and talking talking and talking talking and talking talking and talking and doesn't let you get a word in edgewise? So, I have a friend (why is she my friend?) who is a complete and utter, how do I put it? Not a very nice person. I was telling her how much I wanted to see the movie Zodiac (about the reporter who reported on the Zodiac killers in the 60's and 70's) and she all of a sudden blew up at me. Here's how the conversation went. Maybe you'll agree with me when I say that I'm not sure i should be friends with this person any longer. Me:I can't wait to see Zodiac this weekend. Her: I've already seen it, it sucks Me: How can you have seen it, it doesn't come out until Friday! Her: It doesn't matter, it's stupid and the Zodiac killer was boring. The worst killer ever! Me: ??? Her: Just don't go see it, it's a waste of money. So by now, I'm feeling a little hurt and thinking 'Yah, you wouldn't think he was so stupid if you had been attacked'. But, unwisely, I chose to pursue the conversation... Me: I'm going to see it anyway. Everything I've read makes it sound really good! And anyway, it has my favorite actor in it (Robert downey Jr) and is directed by one of my favorite directors, David Fincher. Her: Why do you like movies so much? Movies are stupid! Me: Ummm, cause? Her: You're so stupid. And then she walked off. Grrrr, It makes me mad. But who cares what she thinks, I'm still going to see it. Anyway, i recently watched the movie The Constant Gardner again, starring Ralph Finnes, and Rachel Weisz, and WOW! I fell in love with it all over again. The acting is wonderful, the cinematography is phenomenal, and watching it, makes me want to go to Africa, which is a little weird, considering how awful the movie makes it seem. Ahhh, but it's so pretty :) Go watch it. It's good... I'm leaving now. Have a nice day!!

| Oscars Last Night |
| 2007-02-26 |
| so, I'm not a big fan of watching the Academy Awards. I find them boring despite how much I love movies, however, Robert Downey Junior presented an award last night that I'm sorry I missed. He presented the Best Special FX award, and made this hilarious joke (for all of you, like me, who made the mistake of not watching these 5 minutes...):"Visual effects: They enable us to see aliens, experience other universes, move in slow-motion, or watch spiders climbing high above the city landscape." (a beat) "For me, just a typical weeknight in the mid-Nineties." Hilarious, I really do love Robert Downey Jr, and am glad that he has at least appeared to have cleaned up his act. Best movie EVER (or at least for this week)is Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. It is a funny spoof of 1950's detective film noir's, starring Val Kilmer, Robert Downey Jr. and Michelle Monaghan. It is incredibly funny, so go see it NOW! That's it for me for now... Talk to ya later... Bye |
